Psychotherapy - Dr. Anita Gadhia-Smith

DR. ANITA GADHIA-SMITH
Psychotherapist

"Therapy is a journey through which we find our authentic selves and become the best we can be. I have expertise in working with alcoholism, addictions and recovery issues, as well as with relationship, couple and family issues, and have worked in the field for over twenty years. I work with adults and adolescents, in individual, couple and family modalities. My approach is to meet you where you are, and to help you to move towards your goals, overcome obstacles, and achieve maximum growth. I use several therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and strengths-based techniques.

I believe that through therapy, profound and lasting positive change can occur. I am a doctor of psychology, as well as a licensed independent clinical social worker. I have spoken at conferences internationally, and nationally, and on radio and television.

I have also served as a consultant for the U.S. Congress in substance abuse parity legislation. I am currently in private practice full-time, as well as affiliated with several treatment programs throughout the country."
